The single greatest lesson the garden teaches is that our relationship to the planet need not be zero-sum, and that as long as the sun still shines and people still can plan and plant, think and do, we can, if we bother to try, find ways to provide for ourselves without diminishing the world.

Our philosophy

We are a small family farm and a small business.  We work together, side by side, every day.  We consider ourselves blessed to have a hand in creating something of beauty that feeds both body and soul.

We believe in the power of grit.  My Grandmother taught me that nothing lasting ever comes easy.  We are committed to our craft and are committed to never stop learning.

We have a rabid commitment to quality.  We raise the highest quality blooms and beef with organic practices, without hormones, additives or toxic chemicals.  We maintain 3rd party certifications to validate our promise to our customers.

We have a sincere belief that local is better.  The average meal travels over 1500 miles to get to your plate and 80% of flowers used in the US come from outside our borders.  We are committed to local slow food and flowers, the freshest and healthiest possible.

We believe in the triple bottom line.  That ecological, social and financial benefit are all necessary to truly succeed.  We practice minimal tillage.  We focus on soil and steward the health of our river, the wildlife, and our whole farm.  We use only natural, regenerative farming practices integrating sustainability into everything we do.

We believe when you have something wonderful, it should be shared. So much of our world is disrupted and at odds with our common sensibilities. Periodically, we open our farm to our community. We receive a deep satisfaction in the joy and re-connection this creates.
